Our Persisting Memories

I just want to apologize that we haven't been updating the blog recently. I just have to say that 3 is very different than 2. 2 is manageable. There are 2 parents. When you have 3 you're outnumbered. 3 under the age of 5 is getting into silly territory. I don't think Heather or I have gotten a full nights sleep for 4 months at least. Sophia is in a wonderful transitory period where she is becoming more and more self sufficient but ultimately it's going to take another year or so before she can pour a full milk gallon into a bowl of cereal. I'm not complaining really, I just want to explain why we haven't updated everything. The worst part is all the wonderful things happening that aren't getting recorded for the blog. Sophia started kindergarten a few days ago and is having a wonderful time. Phoebe has become a wonderful story teller. Daphne is about a month away from crawling. She can't stop moving and it's hilarious to watch her roll her way to her...

Phoebe: Sophia keeps pushing me! Me: OK, she's in trouble. Can you bring her here? Phoebe: Are you going to pop her? (she says with a wide grin) Me: Maybe (Phoebe runs off and shouts): Sophia! Daddy's gonna pop you! (Sophia hides) (We spend 5 minutes locating her then some sort of punishment happens. She was either grounded, sent to her room, or swatted. She gets to decide) -Later Phoebe: Sophia hit ME!! Me: OK, she's in trouble. Can you bring her here? Phoebe: Are you going to pop her? Me: Maybe (Phoebe runs off and shouts): Sophia! Daddy's gonna give you candy!!! (Half a second later Sophia bursts in the room) Sophia: Did you need something? Me: I've got some bad news.
