I don't mind the rapid spreading contagion of nerdity (I made the word nerdity up, which I think makes me a nerd. A fact that was never in doubt). My only lament is her hesitance to adopt my music. Seriously, I listen to some awesome music. Every week I find new bands, new sounds, and every once in a while I find gold. The only problem is that I've trained myself to like the weirdest stuff I can find. For example: [audio:01-unexpect-chromatic_chimera.mp3] The band is called uneXpect. They're probably considered metal but they have a certain jazz/circus music/opera influence. They're similar to Sleepytime Guerilla Museum but much heavier. Spencer & I just argued this morning about whether or not it would be a suitable ending if Harry died or not. I thought it would be perfectly suitable but Spencer thinks it wouldn't be for a children's book. I told him Harry Potter isn't a children's book, not the later ones anyway. Anyway, do you have an electronic copy of it I can borrow? I have a really slow week ahead of me next week at work and want something to read. Also don't want to wait til it comes available at the library because that won't be for months!! And I want to prove Spencer wrong, that it will be okay if Harry dies. But don't tell me if he does or not!!
ReplyDeleteHa, and I forgot to say that I read an article about JK Rowling on the BBC the other day where she condemned all those people who are sneaking copies of it, and although she was talking about publishers and book critics, I thought to myself, I bet BJ's already reading it! And I was right.
ReplyDeleteSure, I'm in the hospital now though and need to be home. I'll set stuff up for you later tonight... if I don't pass out first.
