I don't mind the rapid spreading contagion of nerdity (I made the word nerdity up, which I think makes me a nerd. A fact that was never in doubt). My only lament is her hesitance to adopt my music. Seriously, I listen to some awesome music. Every week I find new bands, new sounds, and every once in a while I find gold. The only problem is that I've trained myself to like the weirdest stuff I can find. For example: [audio:01-unexpect-chromatic_chimera.mp3] The band is called uneXpect. They're probably considered metal but they have a certain jazz/circus music/opera influence. They're similar to Sleepytime Guerilla Museum but much heavier. Anyway, I'm a huge fan and really have to suggest picking up their latest release In a Flesh Aquarium . I've also been doing some hunting lately and need to share the fruits of my searching. It was either reroll or failing a saving throw.
ReplyDeleteGary Gygax didn't always give saving throws. Remember the Temple of Elemental Evil, that was Gygax. Your dad killed my Cleric in one hit without a saving throw or any hp damage. Dang Assassin class.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I vaguely remember my dad giving us drow weapons because we were about to fight an impossible battle.... which I velieve we lost anyway, at which point he tried to save us with an NPC he had to make up so we could figure something else out.
ReplyDeletePeter and his darn paladin that shows up for two sessions and get a +5 longsword. I still remember that you had two characters D'artagnan (that's Adrian's spelling) and a wizard, but I don't remember the wizards name. Tim was Nakor the blue rider a cleric who worshipped a rock. Jared Cross played another wizard who because of a inappropriate miniature was known as Lumpy. Good times that. Even Bekah played I seem to remember Female Human fighter with a funny name. Hmm.
