Heather is Late

I just realized she hadn't done the weekly post yet. She's been busy though. With birthday weekend, dermatology appointments for our daughter, husband going to the dentist, church stuff, and her mother out of commission due to knee surgery, she has been quite busy. I really appreciate her.

I got a flash for my camera and have some lighting equipment coming in this week. I'll get to try it all out at Jo Ellen's reception.

    Maybe the post title should be "The Weekly Update is Late" so the masses don't assume she is pregnant again.

    Very true. BJ sure doesn't think about those things, but that is how it sounds doesn't it? Happily, no babies for now.

Running simplescalar on Ubuntu in alpha config

I have to post this for future reference as there were so many pain points just getting simplescalar running that I needed to mirror some links and consolidate some tutorials. Here's a good guide to installing simplescalar . I'll mirror some of the information from another guide that worked for me as well. Phoebe loves shoes

OMG Shoes. Phoebe loves them. At any given moment Phoebe is either swapping shoes, trying on shoes, or digging through someone's closet for new shoes. Our recent trip to Bryan, TX to visit family, brought us to a children's play museum. There was a small selection of dress up items which of course included shoes. Phoebe immediately began prancing around in her new shoes. 59585|400 Heather wanted some pictures of Phoebe in her cousins boy clothes as well. I Don't Mind

I don't mind the rapid spreading contagion of nerdity (I made the word nerdity up, which I think makes me a nerd. A fact that was never in doubt). My only lament is her hesitance to adopt my music. Seriously, I listen to some awesome music. Every week I find new bands, new sounds, and every once in a while I find gold. The only problem is that I've trained myself to like the weirdest stuff I can find. For example: [audio:01-unexpect-chromatic_chimera.mp3] The band is called uneXpect. They're probably considered metal but they have a certain jazz/circus music/opera influence. They're similar to Sleepytime Guerilla Museum but much heavier.
