Ouch, My Head
I try not to bemoan my own existence very much but this morning I woke up with a migraine. I haven't had an actual migraine in years. When I was younger, pre-teen - early teens, I would get them frequently but over time the frequency subsided to the point that I hardly ever suffer from an actual migraine.
Right now I should be at church with the family, but due to the lingering pain I'm sitting at home typing out how much I appreciate my wife. I slept until 1:30 PM when I should have been up at 7:00 AM. Heather doesn't work well with little sleep. With at least 8 hours of sleep I'm pretty sure she can handle anything the world throws at her but if you edge her closer to 7 hours she becomes volatile. Last night probably wasn't her best night of sleep but she got the kids ready herself and packed them off to church because her wuss of a husband couldn't handle his little headache.
Thank you.
I had forgotten how terrible migraines were. It's like someone is yanking on your optical nerve as hard as they can. Any sort of light or noise makes the nasty little optic nerve yankers pull harder. I can pretty easily spot the difference between your average headache and a migraine due to the fact that real migraines hurt so much they make me throw up. Sadly it also seems to be the only way for me to get rid of one. Vomit -> Sleep = cured headache.

Yeah, I always think it is funny when someone tells me they have a really bad migraine, but they came to work, or class or church or whatever anyway, and they are just going to work through it. Yeah right! Anyway, I always think those people are so cute because the fact that they are saying that just means they have never had the agony that comes with a true migraine. Those lucky sons of...
ReplyDeleteYuck- glad you're feeling better. Good for Heather for hanging in there.
ReplyDeleteUm, yep, a thank you is darn right! Sunday was SO hard and exhausting with TOTAL care of the kids and being on my own at church. But we all got through it somehow.....
ReplyDeleteStupid Blog be more posty. Or more specifically unplug BJ from Warhammer Dark Time Suck and chain him to his computer... um wait, hmmm.
ReplyDeleteI can always tell when BJ is into an MMO because he disappears from everything else and in particular his number of posts go way down.
Lol, that's not that fair. I think a huge part is that I've refrained from posting anything political as of late. I would love to post a few told you so posts regarding our favorite political saviour regarding his promises of transparency and his new direction for America, which seems the same as the old direction just a whole lot faster.
ReplyDeleteI need to do some portraits though. I need to do a self portrait and some more pics of the girls... Warhammer has probably impeded that.
