Crowded

Somehow Sophia's bed has slowly become overrun. She has her typical lovey's--her 2 blankets, but then there is this mish-mash of all sorts of things. Each night can bring something new that she wants--Tigger, her blue snake, a doll, and so on. So, currently on her bed she has:

4 pillows, 2 handmade to match her curtains, one regular pillow, and a "baby pillow"
her long blue snake
Tigger
2 beanie babies, a leopard and an ostrich
Giraffe stuffed animal
2 baby blankets
2 blankets for covers
Nemo animal
Lightening McQueen stuffed car

Seriously! HALF the bed is STUFF and the other half is her little body. I have attempted some nights to put some things away, but she notices! So I have left them alone and slowly allowed this bed to become crowded with the things she wants.

However, I also KNOW my child is not the only one. I have observed at friend's and family's homes that their kids' beds are loaded with a variation of pillows, blankets, toys/animals as well. So far, none so full as Sophia's, but crowded nonetheless! I suppose it is all a matter of comfort and security. Anyone reading this feel free to share about your own child's bed, or even yours from when you were young! I would be interested in the stories!

  1. She sure is quite the little character. I love to hear the fun things she does.

  2. That is so funny! At least she chooses things that are soft. When I was little and my parents told me to clean my room I would pile it all on the foot of my bed. I always had a pile of books and toys, some hard plastic some stuffed animals. My parents never understood why I put all of my stuff there, but hey I only took up the top half of the bed, so the bottom half was free game for all of the rest of my junk. Ha ha ha!!
