Typical Phoebe

It is no joke when I compare Phoebe to Linus from the comic strip "Peanuts". She drags that blanket everywhere, it can be exhausting! She is also pretty attached to her thumb. Together, her blanket and thumb are her ultimate comfort and bliss. So these pictures are my typical Phoebe--sucking her thumb while holding the corner (has to be a corner) and doing her thing......

    Yeah, I really don't mind it right now. It is such a comfort for her. It will be this next year when she will be 2 1/2 and I think old enough to really stop it---that is when the work will really start. But I am not going to have a HUGE battle over making her stop.....we will see where this goes!

Running simplescalar on Ubuntu in alpha config

I have to post this for future reference as there were so many pain points just getting simplescalar running that I needed to mirror some links and consolidate some tutorials. Here's a good guide to installing simplescalar . I'll mirror some of the information from another guide that worked for me as well. Phoebe loves shoes

OMG Shoes. Phoebe loves them. At any given moment Phoebe is either swapping shoes, trying on shoes, or digging through someone's closet for new shoes. Our recent trip to Bryan, TX to visit family, brought us to a children's play museum. There was a small selection of dress up items which of course included shoes. Phoebe immediately began prancing around in her new shoes. 59585|400 Heather wanted some pictures of Phoebe in her cousins boy clothes as well. I Don't Mind

I don't mind the rapid spreading contagion of nerdity (I made the word nerdity up, which I think makes me a nerd. A fact that was never in doubt). My only lament is her hesitance to adopt my music. Seriously, I listen to some awesome music. Every week I find new bands, new sounds, and every once in a while I find gold. The only problem is that I've trained myself to like the weirdest stuff I can find. For example: [audio:01-unexpect-chromatic_chimera.mp3] The band is called uneXpect. They're probably considered metal but they have a certain jazz/circus music/opera influence. They're similar to Sleepytime Guerilla Museum but much heavier.
