Happy Birthday Heather

I know this is a little late. I just wanted to wish my wife a wonderful late birthday. I bought her a car. Seriously.

2006 Honda Pilot.

It replaces her 1991 Honda Accord.

There are so many things that we haven't posted in the last month that it's going to take a while for us to catch up.

I just did a full reinstall on my main server/workstation in the office so I won't have any new photos up until Lightroom, Photoshop, and Noise Ninja get installed.

Please be patient and we'll have some wonderful stories to tell.

You also might want to tell Heather to post here instead of Facebook.

    Heather, please post on the blog and not on Facebook! I can't read Facebook! Looking forward to seeing pictures of the new car, that's so exciting for Heather, I know. We're on the verge of buying a used minivan (Spencer probably told you), also a Honda. We were contemplating warranties and extended warranties, and Spencer laughed and said, Extended warranty? That's spelled H-O-N-D-A!

Running simplescalar on Ubuntu in alpha config

I have to post this for future reference as there were so many pain points just getting simplescalar running that I needed to mirror some links and consolidate some tutorials. Here's a good guide to installing simplescalar . I'll mirror some of the information from another guide that worked for me as well. Phoebe loves shoes

OMG Shoes. Phoebe loves them. At any given moment Phoebe is either swapping shoes, trying on shoes, or digging through someone's closet for new shoes. Our recent trip to Bryan, TX to visit family, brought us to a children's play museum. There was a small selection of dress up items which of course included shoes. Phoebe immediately began prancing around in her new shoes. 59585|400 Heather wanted some pictures of Phoebe in her cousins boy clothes as well. I Don't Mind

I don't mind the rapid spreading contagion of nerdity (I made the word nerdity up, which I think makes me a nerd. A fact that was never in doubt). My only lament is her hesitance to adopt my music. Seriously, I listen to some awesome music. Every week I find new bands, new sounds, and every once in a while I find gold. The only problem is that I've trained myself to like the weirdest stuff I can find. For example: [audio:01-unexpect-chromatic_chimera.mp3] The band is called uneXpect. They're probably considered metal but they have a certain jazz/circus music/opera influence. They're similar to Sleepytime Guerilla Museum but much heavier.
