Happy Birthday Phoebe

Phoebe is 2 years old now. She is changing rapidly. Words, sentences, questions, phrases, and the ever present squeal still endlessly flow from her little mouth. Any new word or phrase she experiences will inevitably be repeated until she is satisfied that she can recreate it. Sometimes the process is labored for her but in the end she ends up saying something.

She's a joy to be around. It's the exultant squeal of delight from Phoebe that makes me love coming home after a day at work. I'll let Heather post about her Birthday party since her perspective of the day was different than mine (I spent most of my time making BBQ chicken). I just wanted to wish Phoebe a happy birthday.

    Phoebe is so pretty! She looks so much like Heather! It is like little heather peering out of those eyes. She is a beautiful little one and I can't believe she is already 2! I can't wait to come out for Christmas so I can get some time with the girls!

Running simplescalar on Ubuntu in alpha config

I have to post this for future reference as there were so many pain points just getting simplescalar running that I needed to mirror some links and consolidate some tutorials. Here's a good guide to installing simplescalar . I'll mirror some of the information from another guide that worked for me as well. Phoebe loves shoes

OMG Shoes. Phoebe loves them. At any given moment Phoebe is either swapping shoes, trying on shoes, or digging through someone's closet for new shoes. Our recent trip to Bryan, TX to visit family, brought us to a children's play museum. There was a small selection of dress up items which of course included shoes. Phoebe immediately began prancing around in her new shoes. 59585|400 Heather wanted some pictures of Phoebe in her cousins boy clothes as well. I Don't Mind

I don't mind the rapid spreading contagion of nerdity (I made the word nerdity up, which I think makes me a nerd. A fact that was never in doubt). My only lament is her hesitance to adopt my music. Seriously, I listen to some awesome music. Every week I find new bands, new sounds, and every once in a while I find gold. The only problem is that I've trained myself to like the weirdest stuff I can find. For example: [audio:01-unexpect-chromatic_chimera.mp3] The band is called uneXpect. They're probably considered metal but they have a certain jazz/circus music/opera influence. They're similar to Sleepytime Guerilla Museum but much heavier.
