Typical Phoebe

I believe that I have made a previous post about this same topic before, but in case I haven't I thought I should. And in case I have, well, this second one just emphasizes how true this is. Phoebe loves to dress up. 66784|420 Most mornings, within about an hour of being awake she ends up in a ballerina outfit, princess dress, or "sorcerer" pants. Sometimes the princess shoes will be added, sometimes not. As you can see from the photo she was in full Princess mode--crown and wand included. When we visited cousins a month ago she went from dress up to dress up multiple times a day and LOVED IT! She wore her cousin's Princess shoes so much they ended up giving her blisters. She was hurt and upset from the blisters, but also from not being able to wear the shoes anymore either. We really need to get more dress up stuff to keep this kid clothed and happy!

Oh for the love of mud!

We have been eager for the weather to warm up so the girls can go outside and play. We have had a few good days of lovely weather and I can let the girls be free. However, one day they got particularly quiet and had disappeared around the corner of the house. They discovered a patch of mud and were having a good time. My initial reaction was mild horror (think of the cleanup!!!) and then I chilled out. In the home I grew up in we had a large garden where there was plenty of mud to play in. Tiffany and I did not miss a chance to play in it and make pits to stand in or mud pies and what not. So, I let it be and caught a picture of Sophia throwing mud at Phoebe and she did not mind.....the giggle from her sort of made me think she was fine with it. 66760|420 Things didn't turn out too bad thankfully. I stripped them down before coming in, put them in the shower and clothes right into the wash. Everything came out wonderfully clean. Chance are looking good for them to play in...

February was only slightly more kind

I was still sick with sinus problems in the beginning of the month so I asked to get back into my ENT specialist. It took one short visit with him for the doctor to agree with me---I needed sinus surgery. When things were moving along with this my oldest sister living in Bryan, Texas (near College Station) had a medical emergency. My mom was gone for 3 weeks so I had some working days this months. My mom was home for less than I week, I think it was, before she needed to go back, once again, on an emergency basis. So I quickly packed up the girls and myself, grabbed my mom and left. We were gone for 4 days. While it was a lot of work for my mom and myself while we were there the cousins very much enjoyed playing together. While we were there Sophia caught a cold so as soon as we were back in town we were back into her specialist. We did get good news with her blood work---she has no allergic reactions and a good IgE score. Yay! That was a worrisome load off my chest. However...
