The thoughts in her head
BJ and I plan to have another baby. No, I am not pregnant yet, but we will hopefully be preggers by the Fall. We have been open in our communication with the girls about our desire to have another baby. To our surprise, the girls appear to be excited and supportive, if not a bit impatient. Sophia and I have discussed what a uterus is, what it does and where it is. (She is REALLY into anatomy) Every once in awhile she will ask me about babies, my uterus, if I am pregnant and other various related questions. I went to my OB/GYN this morning to get my IUD out and have been explaining to Sophia where I was going. But I simply explained that the doctor will make sure I am healthy and my uterus is healthy so I can have another baby one day. As soon as I walked back in the door she says "Where is your baby? Where is the baby?" After I was done giggling I explained again what I had gone to the doctor for and that I was NOT pregnant yet. I showed her where they took my blood and she promptly kissed my band-aid and gave me a hug. I love that kid.

While I was gone BJ had the girls watching the most recent animated Wonder Woman movie. After barely 10 minutes of being home she came up to me wearing her pink, long sleeved ballerina body suit with 2 balls (of the same size) stuffed down the front of her to look like boobs. I asked her who she was-- "Dianna" she tells me. I was a bit baffled for a moment until daddy explained--"Wonder Woman". It made total sense. She then went back to the play room and linked together some plastic links to make her "rope", but really her golden lasso. She tucked it under her panty at the thigh just like Dianna does....almost. What a nut. Daddy at least got some great booby shots!

Good luck with getting pregnant and all that... you're making this decision just as Spencer & I decided that we're through. I hope everything goes smoothly. Love the booby photos!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat if you have a boy? And are you going to stay in your house or look for a bigger one? Just curious. Tell me to go away if I'm too nosy.
ReplyDeleteWe can fit another kid in, we just won't really have a guest room anymore. Current plan is once student loans and other debt is gone we upgrade to a larger house. That's a little bit in the future still. I don't think multiple small children make having a sub 2k square foot house an issue... it's when they become teenagers that it'll be a detriment. By that time we'll probably be able to buy another house.
ReplyDeleteI actually don't want a boy. I would love a house full of girls! (BJ is sobbing in the background) My OB even asked if we are trying for a boy this time and I said NO, I want all girls. But we shall see. Ditto what BJ said. We will convert the guest room into another kids room. We will always leave the office/game room/man cave the way it is. I will miss having that spare room for friends and family, but we will be losing it to a good cause.
