Babies

My parents, especially my mom, was right---once your parent's baby, always your parent's baby. I call my girls babies, but Phoebe more so. She tells me sometimes "I'm not a baby." However, I say to them several times a week "Come on babies we are leaving." Or some other communication involving me referring to them as babies. I enjoy saying it, and they are my children--my babies! For now I know I can get away with it, but it might not be so cute (or fun for them) when they are 6 and 7 or older. So for now I am going to try and get away with it.

    I know exactly how you feel! And sometimes I want to cry when Max say, "I'm a BIG BOY, Mommy!" At least you have another little one coming to be a baby for a little while.

Running simplescalar on Ubuntu in alpha config

I have to post this for future reference as there were so many pain points just getting simplescalar running that I needed to mirror some links and consolidate some tutorials. Here's a good guide to installing simplescalar . I'll mirror some of the information from another guide that worked for me as well. Phoebe loves shoes

OMG Shoes. Phoebe loves them. At any given moment Phoebe is either swapping shoes, trying on shoes, or digging through someone's closet for new shoes. Our recent trip to Bryan, TX to visit family, brought us to a children's play museum. There was a small selection of dress up items which of course included shoes. Phoebe immediately began prancing around in her new shoes. 59585|400 Heather wanted some pictures of Phoebe in her cousins boy clothes as well. I Don't Mind

I don't mind the rapid spreading contagion of nerdity (I made the word nerdity up, which I think makes me a nerd. A fact that was never in doubt). My only lament is her hesitance to adopt my music. Seriously, I listen to some awesome music. Every week I find new bands, new sounds, and every once in a while I find gold. The only problem is that I've trained myself to like the weirdest stuff I can find. For example: [audio:01-unexpect-chromatic_chimera.mp3] The band is called uneXpect. They're probably considered metal but they have a certain jazz/circus music/opera influence. They're similar to Sleepytime Guerilla Museum but much heavier.
