More things to come
This will be a busy week for our family so we might not be able to fulfill our new found commitment to updating our family blog more regularly.

You should expect far more updates. We've been selfish with our daughters lately and have failed to consistently give friends and family a place to read about their exploits. Here's some things you can expect in the new year.
Here are some highlights from our ever curious daughter Sophia.
In 2009 Sophia was so hopeful for snow that she decided to pray for it. Almost daily she would pray for it to snow on Christmas. It snowed on Christmas. Last year she had the same prayer. Sadly, it didn't work and there was no snow to be seen on Christmas day. It did however snow about a week later. The girls had a wonderful time cavorting in the new fallen snow, making snowballs, making snow angels, getting cold feet, and warming up next to a nice hot fire in the fireplace. The snow lasted a couple of days and was thoroughly enjoyed by the girls. On the third day it began to warm. Sophia noticed that the snow was beginning to melt. In her mind Jesus is the arbiter of snow, a misconception we might need to correct. There was one explanation. Jesus was melting the snow. Her next words with shaken fist, "I'll get you for this Jesus".

Sophia recently asked her mother, "Why does the church love Jesus?" Another question out of the blue, "Why did Grandpa die?" While at times she has a logical chain of questions that leads to an ultimate answer, at other times she's just as likely to be lost in deep thought then ask a fundamental question of her own experience in life with no prompting from her parents. I have to admit, I love it. There's nothing I relish more that trying to formulate answers that fulfill her curiosity by giving her accurate information pared down to essentials that a 4 year old can understand.

Actually, just to clarify, Sophia said "Jesus will pay for this." She's a nut.
