What I have learned

I know she is only 2 days old, but there are some things that have become very clear about Miss Daphne.  So far this is what I have learned:

She loves to suck--nursing and pacifier.

She is a very relaxed baby, and doesn't seem to want to cry very much.  I can hardly believe how well behaved she is.  I truly hope this keeps up!

She is a noise maker.   She will smack, suck, squeak, and eat loudly.

She can POOP!  She pooped as soon as she was born, and had 2 big ones in the hospital.  One so big it was leaking everywhere.  Luckily the nursery nurse was in the room and offered to change her, and I LET HER! :)

She loves to eat.  They told me in the hospital that newborns have stomachs the size of a marble.  If that is true then Daphne has a birth defect and has one the size of a baseball.  I did both nursing and formula in the hospital and she would finish an entire bottle.  My milk came in the day I checked out of the hospital.  Later this afternoon she nursed AND took (almost) an entire formula bottle.  I just hope I can keep up!

She is cute, gorgeous, beautiful, handsome, attractive, pretty.....how many other ways can I say this?!  She has loooong eyelashes and wonderful skin.  Time will only tell who she starts to resemble more.

  2. wow! what an eater! I hope she's going to be one of those super adorable chunky babies. And pooping, I guess that's a truly excellent bodily function as well. How are her sisters adapting?
