Sorry again

I just want to apologize that we haven't been updating the blog recently.

I just have to say that 3 is very different than 2. 2 is manageable. There are 2 parents. When you have 3 you're outnumbered. 3 under the age of 5 is getting into silly territory. I don't think Heather or I have gotten a full nights sleep for 4 months at least. Sophia is in a wonderful transitory period where she is becoming more and more self sufficient but ultimately it's going to take another year or so before she can pour a full milk gallon into a bowl of cereal.

I'm not complaining really, I just want to explain why we haven't updated everything. The worst part is all the wonderful things happening that aren't getting recorded for the blog. Sophia started kindergarten a few days ago and is having a wonderful time. Phoebe has become a wonderful story teller. Daphne is about a month away from crawling. She can't stop moving and it's hilarious to watch her roll her way to her objectives with such vigor. I'll work on updating the blog more but I can't promise anything. I'll also commit to taking more pictures.

    Yes, more pictures please! I'm glad Sophia likes kindergarten. And the idea of Daphne rolling around to get where she wants sounds amazingly funny.

Running simplescalar on Ubuntu in alpha config

I have to post this for future reference as there were so many pain points just getting simplescalar running that I needed to mirror some links and consolidate some tutorials. Phoebe loves shoes

OMG Shoes. Phoebe loves them. At any given moment Phoebe is either swapping shoes, trying on shoes, or digging through someone's closet for new shoes. Our recent trip to Bryan, TX to visit family, brought us to a children's play museum. There was a small selection of dress up items which of course included shoes. Phoebe immediately began prancing around in her new shoes. 59585|400 Heather wanted some pictures of Phoebe in her cousins boy clothes as well. I Don't Mind

I don't mind the rapid spreading contagion of nerdity (I made the word nerdity up, which I think makes me a nerd. A fact that was never in doubt). My only lament is her hesitance to adopt my music. Seriously, I listen to some awesome music. Every week I find new bands, new sounds, and every once in a while I find gold. The only problem is that I've trained myself to like the weirdest stuff I can find. For example: [audio:01-unexpect-chromatic_chimera.mp3] The band is called uneXpect. They're probably considered metal but they have a certain jazz/circus music/opera influence. They're similar to Sleepytime Guerilla Museum but much heavier.
