Phoebe: First day of school

The first day of Kindergarten was on Monday.  When Phoebe got home I asked her what her favorite part of the day was; what her favorite thing had been.  Her reply was not what I expected.



"Eating."

"What?  Like, eating at Lunch?  Lunchtime?!?"

"Yeah.  Eating at lunch."

She repeated the same thing to BJ when asked later in the evening by him.  Today is the 3rd day of school and she still has the same answer to my same question.  This coming from a kid who is a picky eater and does not eat large portions.

    Hey, school is good for lots of stuff! Including eating! I can't believe she's in kindergarten. It sounds like she's off to a good start and likes it okay!

Running simplescalar on Ubuntu in alpha config

I have to post this for future reference as there were so many pain points just getting simplescalar running that I needed to mirror some links and consolidate some tutorials. Here's a good guide to installing simplescalar . I'll mirror some of the information from another guide that worked for me as well. Phoebe loves shoes

OMG Shoes. Phoebe loves them. At any given moment Phoebe is either swapping shoes, trying on shoes, or digging through someone's closet for new shoes. Our recent trip to Bryan, TX to visit family, brought us to a children's play museum. There was a small selection of dress up items which of course included shoes. Phoebe immediately began prancing around in her new shoes. 59585|400 Heather wanted some pictures of Phoebe in her cousins boy clothes as well. I Don't Mind

I don't mind the rapid spreading contagion of nerdity (I made the word nerdity up, which I think makes me a nerd. A fact that was never in doubt). My only lament is her hesitance to adopt my music. Seriously, I listen to some awesome music. Every week I find new bands, new sounds, and every once in a while I find gold. They're probably considered metal but they have a certain jazz/circus music/opera influence. They're similar to Sleepytime Guerilla Museum but much heavier.
