No catch up

Trying to catch up with all the things we've missed would be pointless but there are a few things that I want to update. Sophia got glasses (I'll post pictures soon). Phoebe leveled up to level 4 in Gymnastics (The Perot Museum slow motion camera comparison with an Olympic level gymnast has Phoebe really working on her form and it shows). Daphne is wonderful and hilarious, I have never seen a child completely wrap so many people around her finger. Heather is planning on reentering college in the Spring. We celebrated our 12 year anniversary this past June. We're done having children (I got the snip, ask me about it and I regale you with stories of an awkward forced conversation on the Federal Reserve with a Conservative Dallas urologist).

There are some other big changes to our family but they will be talked about in Private posts and are meant for posterity and our family alone. I've spent too much time talking to strangers anonymously and wasting time on facebook.

Running simplescalar on Ubuntu in alpha config

I have to post this for future reference as there were so many pain points just getting simplescalar running that I needed to mirror some links and consolidate some tutorials. Here's a good guide to installing simplescalar . I'll mirror some of the information from another guide that worked for me as well. Phoebe loves shoes

OMG Shoes. Phoebe loves them. At any given moment Phoebe is either swapping shoes, trying on shoes, or digging through someone's closet for new shoes. Our recent trip to Bryan, TX to visit family, brought us to a children's play museum. There was a small selection of dress up items which of course included shoes. Phoebe immediately began prancing around in her new shoes. 59585|400 Heather wanted some pictures of Phoebe in her cousins boy clothes as well. I Don't Mind

I don't mind the rapid spreading contagion of nerdity (I made the word nerdity up, which I think makes me a nerd. A fact that was never in doubt). My only lament is her hesitance to adopt my music. Seriously, I listen to some awesome music. Every week I find new bands, new sounds, and every once in a while I find gold. The only problem is that I've trained myself to like the weirdest stuff I can find. For example: [audio:01-unexpect-chromatic_chimera.mp3] The band is called uneXpect. They're probably considered metal but they have a certain jazz/circus music/opera influence. They're similar to Sleepytime Guerilla Museum but much heavier.
