They still love swimming

Red Lips and Fear

Image
After a small meal of fun park junk food we decided the best course of action was scary rides. There are no pictures but know that both girls rode their first full fledged roller coaster with 2 loops.

HAHA

So one of the funny things about uploading everything sight unseen from your wife's phone camera... is sometimes you upload things that probably shouldn't be there. Honey, if you find it I'll take it down. For now I'll leave it as an easter egg.

Zip Line

Image
Catey, Heather, and Sophia rode the zip line at Castles and Coasters. It was a horrendously long wait but they said it was pretty fun. I hung out with Daphne and Phoebe and played with the camera.

Putt Putt

This time I'll just include a small gallery of the best shots of the family playing Putt-Putt. Don't ask me what I said to my wife to cause her to make that face but if I could remember, I would do it constantly. [gallery orderby="rand"]

Castles and Coasters

Image
Our first major activity in Arizona after visiting with family and letting the babies get acquainted with each other was Castles and Coaster. We did quite a few things there and I'd like to break up the activities into separate posts. Otherwise this post would be far too long and I'd have to skip to many firsts for many of the members of our little family. The first thing we did was ride the bumper boats. We had Aunt Catey with us to help with managing children and to act as encouragement and the reasonable voice of youth on which rides we should ride.

Aiden

Image
Our main activity in march was a trip to Arizona to visit my my sister Bekah and her lovely family. Their first son was going to be blessed and they were kind enough to invite us to the blessing. The drive was long and made more interesting by the flurries of snow that fell as we were travelling through New Mexico. I still have some additional photos of Aiden to process that have to wait until after Finals but to give you a preview, here's Aiden with what might seem like a atypical expression on his face... I would like to assure you that it is not atypical. He is really that serious at all times.

Princesses

Image
On particular days of the week, Heather stays at Grandma's house to make sure Grandma is doing okay. Grandma likes to collect playthings so it's a pleasurable experience for the girls. It might be too pleasurable.

Bed Head

Image
One of the best surprises we experience as a family is how crazy Phoebe's bed head is in the mornings.

Valentine's Day

Image
Sophia celebrated her first Valentine's day as a school student. I attended the class party and it was as hectic as you might remember. Heather made sure to add an extra touch to her hair and nails.

January was slow

Image
January was a slow month for the Atchley gallery, but a few pictures came out perfect.

My wife is beautiful

Image
One of the great things about handling all the photos that get put on our website is I can repost pictures of my wife's self shots. Which reminds me, I need to take more pictures of my gorgeous wife.

May 2nd No gym

Weight loss

I'm about 40 pounds overweight and sick of it. Time to lose weight. I'm not sure this is the be place to put my progress but I'll be creating a category to track my progress on meals and time at the gym as well as full workouts in order to hold myself accountable. Prior to this I was comfortable trying to just gain muscle and I've done a fair job of that but not holding to a strict diet is inhibiting my progress. It's time to go back to ground zero.   http://atchleyfam.com/category/bjs-notes/bj-fitness/

One of the funnier things that happens when you take hundreds of pictures of your children (our blog might be behind but our photo gallery is not more than a few weeks behind) is they begin to react to both the camera and their parents. Sophia famously began closing a single eye when the camera operator also closed an eye to take the photo. Daphne is following in her sister's footsteps. Bonus points to the person that can locate a photo of Sophia doing the same thing. Unfortunately our gallery now consists of over 11,000 photos and will continue to grow. It's great for archiving our lives but supremely difficult to locate particular photos.
